Catch-up sessions.

I think we all really do like catching up with friends over a long, long, long meal. It's so perfectly nice to just sit down and talk for hours. And at the end of the day, we'd feel reluctant to head home because it feels like there's just so many more topics to talk about.

Met Steph last week on a Thursday afternoon and we headed to PS Cafe at Palais Renaissance for lunch! Always loved cafe dates with this soul buddy! :) It's nice to find a friend who shares the same mindset as you, hahaha and we always come to a conclusion that the reason we click so well is because we're pretty queer, heh.

We shared both the Mushroom Wellington and Truffle Fries. BOTH WERE SUPER DUPER YUMS (Y) Would definitely have them again soon!!

Earlier on this week, I finally met the PF people again!!! \m/ Was really excited because it's been long since we last met the guys! Bangkok trip with the PF girlfriends in Jan was awesome and I just super duper love their company. I can't believe how Polyforum has brought us this close together (Y) And back then, we were kinda dreading PF! Hahaha. Anyway, we met at Lau Pa Sat for dinner!

We just kept ordering and the guys were freaking out because we didn't seem to keep track of what we already ordered! But oh well, a happy occasion calls for lots of good food aye!

Guess what! We're going to Taipei together!!! Yay *throws confetti into the air*! So basically, for friends who know me - I'm a huge fan of TW. And I've been visiting Taipei yearly, consecutively for the past 3 years I think. I was really craving for Taipei street snacks and all too! I casually asked Eleanor if she wanted to visit Taipei, and she didn't mind going overseas together again. So we asked the next person to arrive - Georgiana, who agreed to the plan too! Then came Yongwen, a little reluctant at first but in the end, he decided to join us too. Followed by Jack and Val, who agreed without much contemplation and finally - Sid, who surprisingly said yes too!!!! So that was how our trip came about. G immediately went online using her phone to check out ticket prices and I shared with them the accommodation I had in mind - Taipei York :)

*fast forward* Three+ days later, we were all booked for our trip! :) ARE THESE PEOPLE AWESOME OR AWESOMEEEE! :D I really love the spontaneity and how "on! let's go!" they are, heh. Can't wait can't wait can't wait! It really feels great to look forward to a trip with such good friends. My source of motivation for now!

The final exam is around the corner, good luck to all! :)

C & N!

Thought I'd be diligent and post about the belated birthday luncheon with Crystal and Nian too :)

This pair of girls is a blessing in my life, never thought we'd get soooo close (am sure most people agree)! Fate is a pretty cute thing sometimes hahahaha. Pardon the long-winded'ness, but I really think birthdays are an occasion to give thanks and I am so so so thankful to have this pair in my life :) Their support and understanding were seriously my pillars of strength during tough times back then. MAJOR LOVE! CHEERS TO AWESOME FRIENDSHIP.

Have always wanted to check out OverEasy, hence the girls decided that it was going to be the location for lunch :) Love the space and the view there!

They know I'm not supposed to buy anymore bags because my mum will kill me if I purchase one more so they decided to buy it for me instead :P It works, because I can go "I didn't buy it!! My friends bought it for me!" And my mum will go, "Oh, okay then." kinda thing hahaha.

The food was pretty good! :) Will definitely head there another time again! Thanks for the treat you two!! :)

We were extremely full, hence decided to walk around and take pictures :) But the weather was an absolute killer!!

Treated them to Paris Baguette to thank them for the awesome day :)

We shall survive the exams coming up and head out for a food date again!

Super duper ultra overdue; 21st.

This is so extremely overdue, can't believe I'm only blogging about my twenty first when it's already April now! 2 whole months past my birthday, woah, am I a pro at procrastinating or what. Anyway, like I've mentioned, I spent the occasion w the 9 most important girlfriends in my life (although Jen only dropped by for a short while due to being unwell, but still! very much appreciated the fact that she dropped by). These 9 girls are all crazily lovely, and I love the fact that we're so different, yet so similar :) Can't imagine what my life would be like without them! We've been through so much already, and I can't wait to spend many many more years with them!

Anyway, the twentyfirst was held at St Regis! I was really excited because I've been raving about how extravagant and luxurious it is! 6 stars, baby! A big thank you to Christin who gave me this St Regis staycation as my birthday present, absolutely love it :)

Presenting, the Lady Astor Room.

It's so pretty! I could really get used to this, hahaha. And they have a butler service! A really nice gesture, she presented me w a cheesecake. And that cheesecake was absolutely awesome (Y) Super noms.

Thank you to the girlfriends who helped with the props and deco! :) And thank you for the bunch of balloons, hahaha. They surprised me at City Hall with them; totally just screamed and jumped out from behind me while I was "supposed" to meet only Elissa at Starbucks, heh.

Dinner was at TCC, we had a quick one and headed back to the hotel after getting some drinks and snacks for the night. The girls started counting down to midnight and tadah, I was officially 21 :')

 photo 4-4.jpg
Hahaha, a friend commented that our dresses were all of the same length! After looking at the pictures, I realized that yes indeed, what a coincidence haha! And yup, that was the dress code for all of us - Black. Every girl should have a little black dress (LBD) :) We took tons of pictures, and thank you Nian for lending me your photo printer! :) We had the photos printed out, and I prepared a black Ikea frame for them each to customize with letterings from Paper Market. You know how kids always attended birthday parties and are given a "goodie bag"? Yup, that personalized photo frame was their "goodie bag" from me :)

The next day; rise and shine! We were all so reluctant to get out of bed because it was really comfortable!! We took turns to shower and freshen up, and no more black attire! Kinda requested for pastel, hehe.

 photo 6-1.jpg
Perfect morning activity - camwhoring. HAHA. The lighting was really good, we just couldn't resist. We finally left the beautiful room, very unwillingly, to proceed w the check-out before heading to the birthday luncheon location!

Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar! :) Good service and pretty decent food! Really thankful towards the team because they helped receive my cupcakes delivery in the morning and kept them for me till we arrived for brunch.

Hehe. Had my cupcakes customized by Missus Bonbon! Decided on the colours - white, black and mint. Communicated w her through an exchange of emails over a few days and she helped with deciding what design to place on the cupcakes after I briefly described what I wanted them to be like. Loveeee the cupcakes! Gave the girlfriends 1 each to bring home, and I brought home the rest for my family :)

Overall, my twenty first was a pretty small and cosy affair but I loved every single moment of that staycation with my girls! So so so glad everything turned out well and am happy that the girlfriends enjoyed the stay too :) Love the presents and all the hand-made gifts/cards!! Very touched after reading their messages and yes, I can't wait to spend the next couple of decades with this bunch of sisters!!

Being twenty-one is kinda confusing for me, I guess. So people say, "welcome to adulthood"! And I start wondering, whoa - adulthood. I don't really know what's in store for me, but I guess this is how life is - full of question marks and unexpected events. But I always believe that no matter how "mysterious" the future may seem, we do have a control over a certain part of it. My priority now is to stay focused on my studies (HAHA OMG, I am so guilty of this trust me, huge procrastinator gosh help) and to spend more time w my family and close friends. I have a part-time job at B.A., and I really don't think I will be there for the rest of my life, but oh well - let's see where life brings me to next.

Do good, and life will reward you in many positive ways :)
