overdue; bella's 20th!

Another overdue post: the best friend's 20th! :)

Made reservations and treated the bestie to jap lunch! Have been searching around for jap lunch buffets for this occasion but didn't want to head back to Ikoi cos I wanted to explore new places, so in the end I selected Shin Minori @ UE Square! :) There wasn't really a lunch crowd, love itttttt! Kinda expected it though, most people working in offices wouldn't have like 2-3 hours of lunch break for a buffet aye. A pleasant surprise; the chef treated us to flame-seared salmon sushi! A really nice gesture :)

overdue; l'etoile w Van

Have no idea how November just seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, but oh well - Happy December!

Spent an entire day editing photos from an event last week! So I decided to just upload some really overdue pictures from the past 1-2 months! :)

After exams ended, Van and I finally materialized our plan to have our own Me-Day. A day where we'd just sit down at a cafe all day, read and just enjoy the company. I guess there were just so many things that bothered us to the extent that we really just want to get away from them all for a day. We couldn't plan for an overseas trip so a full day out in SG would suffice :) We didn't manage to really stay away from our phones the entire day but yes we kept ourselves away from social media though! It was a really good 'getaway', even the silence between us was comfortable.

We headed to L'etoile Cafe, much attracted by how quaint and cozy the cafe is :) Thanks LYJ for the recommendation!! We spent bout 4 hours there, it was pretty quiet on a weekday afternoon. We had the entire level to ourselves! :)

Both of us had the big breakfast! It was awesomeeee! We loved the roasted potatoes so much we decided to go on a cafe hunt just to see if we could find elsewhere with similar roasted potatoes! Our next stop was to The Broers Cafe because we found out they had roasted potatoes as a side too but unfortunately, L'etoile Cafe's still tops the list for that!

We sat at an area in front of the Esplanade for a pretty long time just admiring the night view :) Pretty and serene. It was such an awesome night with bbg, enjoyed our talk and moments where we just sat down quietly to watch the world go by. We then decided to be greedy pigs and satisfy our ramen craving at Raffles City's Menya Musashi at like, 9pm! We found the soup base a tad too 'heavy'/overpowering for our likings but it wasn't that bad nonetheless :)

Can't wait for our next cafe hunting trip! :)
