Distances.
August.
I wished there was a place for gracious dying,
A high place with a distant view.
Where we could gather for a celebration of life
and death and friendship, old and new.
I'd like a place where there would be good music,
Good food and wine - and laughter, games and fun -
And quiet talk with friends and good discussion
of what will happen when this life is done.
A high place with a distant view.
Where we could gather for a celebration of life
and death and friendship, old and new.
I'd like a place where there would be good music,
Good food and wine - and laughter, games and fun -
And quiet talk with friends and good discussion
of what will happen when this life is done.

In loving memory; Isaac.
These few days have been really tough, but I am thankful for the lovely friends. And I will be stronger too, to be there for everyone else around. Thank you darling Jane for accompanying me on Sunday and Monday, being with me throughout, especially on the journeys made in the two days. Traveling to the wake, going home from the wake, going all the way to Clementi with me for school, going to the crematorium and going home together after that. I really couldn't bear the 1 hour+ of traveling alone then. Thank you Sherlene and Nicolette too, Holqa has been the greatest thing that happened in our lives, thanks for the hugs and holding of my hand when we were all breaking down together. Thank you to the rest of the BBGs, vanessa huiyi and fionne, I really love it how we can just go on talking and talking whenever we meet, even though we rarely meet in a year. But there'll be more meet-ups definitely! Special thanks to Vanessa who has been accompanying me in school quite alot these two days! Thank you Crystal and Nian, the lovely duo that has seen me through many things in the past 2 years, I really appreciate having you two around, the best pair of cute little girls (even though Nian is older than us, heheh) in my eyes. Thank you for being the stronger ones this time girls! Thank you Tiang and Jeremy, for always giving me a hug and making sure I'm okay whenever you both walk pass me during the wake/service on Sunday and Monday. And although Jeremy still calls me by the retarded nickname, I still love you guys the same. Thank you friends who have texted/whatsapped me and all, you guys know who you are :')
This chapter has been a wake-up call for many others. And I'm sure Isaac is proud that we are all learning to appreciate and cherish the people around us, even more than before :)
Recent meet-ups in the month of August:
And in a blink of an eye, August is over. To many more great moments ahead, xoxo.
